Peter brings deep technical leadership to Aiphoria, combining 20+ years of real-world telecoms and VoIP expertise with a passion for building secure, scalable, AI-driven infrastructure.
Peter is Chief Speech Technology Officer at Aiphoria, where he leads the development of a compliant, cloud-native telephony and voice infrastructure built on Azure. With deep expertise in speech technology, VoIP systems, and scalable service architecture, Peter shapes the company's technical direction across AI-powered voice applications and telecom integrations
Over a 20+ year career, Peter has designed and delivered large-scale, mission-critical voice systems for telcos, enterprises, and platform providers. He spent a decade consulting for international carriers and service providers, specialising in SIP infrastructure, IVR platforms, and the OpenSIPS/Kamailio/FreeSWITCH ecosystem — helping clients scale networks, achieve regulatory compliance, and modernise legacy systems.
Previously, Peter was CTO at Localphone, where he led engineering teams across the UK and US and architected a fully IP-based CLEC network for the Voxbeam/Magic Telecom group. His work included SIP origination, PSTN termination throughout North America, and global interconnect and custom voice services.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Development at Ebuyer.com and later led system architecture efforts for Wren Kitchens, delivering integrated solutions across supply chain, manufacturing, and retail systems. He managed distributed development teams across two continents.
Peter is a founding member of the OpenSIPS Foundation and a regular speaker at OpenSIPS Summits and other VoIP conferences. He is recognised within the global telecoms community for his contributions to open-source communications infrastructure.
